Escape Studios has joined the entertainment industry network Sohonet. London-based Escape is a CGI training and consultation facility and the company will use Sohonet for its new Escape PODS graduate programme.

Graduate students of the Escape CGI programme will wok on actual TV and film projects from partner Moving Picture Company (MPC). Sohonet will allow data to be transferred from MPC to Escape, where graduates will work as fully paid freelancers.

Other studios are expected to come on for the PODS programme in 2008.

'We are embracing a new way of ingraining up-and-coming CGI talent into the television and filmmaking world,' said Dominic Davenport CEO of Escape Studios. 'Through our Escape PODS program and the Sohonet network we are able to give our graduates real time exposure to actual projects and a vital first step into the industry.'
