John Malkovich and Tony Bennett to attend Florence event.

Tribeca Enterprises and IGM Artists have announced the line up for Tribeca Firenze.

The event is a newly established part of the Tuscan Sun Festival which will see films screened in Florence’s historic Odeon Cinema.

Each screening will be introduced by filmmakers and followed by Q&A sessions. Guests will include Tony Bennett and John Malkovich.

Films being shown include Jacques Audiard’s Cannes competition title Rust and Bone and the European premiere of The Zen of Bennett, a documentary about Tony Bennett directed by Unjoo Moon. Other selections include Travis Fine’s Any Day Now, Cristina Mungiu’s Beyond The Hills, and documentary Wagner’s Dream.

Malkovich will present favourites from his own filmography, including Stephen Frears’ Dangerous Liaisons and Liliana Cavani’s Ripley’s Game.

“We are proud to present a thoughtfully curated selection of films, showcasing everything from art to genre, spectacle to music, and melodrama to documentary,” said Geoffrey Gilmore, Chief Creative Officer of Tribeca Enterprises. “We hope audiences will enjoy the addition of a film programme to the Tuscan Sun Festival, and we are pleased to have the opportunity to present these new works by some of the most compelling filmmakers at work today.”
