Wolfgang Kohlhaase (Summer In Berlin), winner of this year’s honorary Golden Bear, is attached as screenwriter to the Chinese-German culture-clash comedy I Phone You (working title).

The $2.7m (€2m) co-production will be directed by Chinese film-maker Dan Tang and produced by Peter Schwartzkopff’s Reverse Angle Production with Wang Yu’s Beijing-based Ray Productions.

I Phone You will shoot in Berlin and Chongqing, China, in July and August. Chinese actress Jiang Yiyan (pictured) (City Of Life And Death) has been cast as a woman who goes to Berlin looking for love.
