Aaron L. Gilbert’s Vancouver-based Bron Studios has closed a $50m revolving credit facility with Comerica Bank as it seeks to support an expanding prestige production slate.
The credit line includes an opportunity to expand and will help Bron invest further in a pipeline that has delivered recent Toronto world premiere Roman J. Israel, Esq (pictured), Dan Gilroy’s legal drama starring Denzel Washington that opens through Sony on November 3, as well as Miguel Arteta’s Sundance hit Beatriz At Dinner with Salma Hayek, and Jason Reitman’s Tully.
The company recently began production on Jason Reitman’s The Front Runner starring Hugh Jackman as ill-fated 1988 Democratic presidential nominee Gary Hart, and has completed Gideon Raff’s historical thriller The Red Sea Diving Resort starring Chris Evans.
In post are Sam Levinson’s thriller Assassination Nation, Debra Granik’s father-daughter tale My Abandonment, Anthony Mandler’s juvenile prison drama Monster, and Jennifer Kent’s Tasmania-set drama The Nightingale.
Bron’s Steven Thibault, Anjay Nagpal, Joel Guralnick, and Adam Davids negotiated the deal with Adam Korn and Derek Riedel on behalf of Comerica.
