Variance Films has set a May 13 platform release in New York for Mark Wexler’s documentary about ageing.
Wexler interviews a 94-year-old exercise fanatic, a laughter yoga expert and a senior porn star among others in his quest to discover what it means to grow old and the possibility of immortality.
The theatrical release will expand to nationwide markets after the New York launch and will feature in-theatre panels and events designed to continue the conversation after the film ends.
MeToo movement founder Tarana Burke calls decision ”a clarion call”.
Feature is latest under film partnership between streamer and Steven Spielberg’s Amblin.
