Emily Watson will preside over the jury for the feature competition at the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival (August 14-21).
The UK actor is joined by European Film Academy CEO Matthijs Wouter Knol; Croatian director Igor Bezinović; North Macedonian actor Sara Klimoska; and Greek filmmaker Athina Rachel Tsangari.
Watson is a two-time Oscar nominee whose credits include Breaking The Waves, Punch-Drunk Love and HBO series Chernobyl.
Bezinović is best known for his 2025 documentary Fiume o Morte! which won the top prize at Rotterdam; while Tsangari’s most recent film Harvest premiered in Competition at Venice in 2024.
The jury will decide on the Heart of Sarajevo awards, with the winners announced at the closing night ceremony on August 21.
Ukrainian filmmaker Sergei Loznitsa presided over last year’s competition jury, which awarded the top prize to Stefan Dordevic’s docudrama Wind, Talk To Me.
