Evan Horan of Ireland’s Keeper Films and Edinburgh-based producer Wendy Griffin of Selkie Productions are among the 23 producers taking part in this year’s Limerick Film Labs, running in the Irish city from July 6-8.

The international co-production initiative hosts Scottish, Irish and Canadian producers, and is now on its second year.

Horan, one of Screen’s Rising Stars Ireland 2025, has credits including Sheffield Doc Fest 2026 world premiere Lesbian Lines and horror Oddity. He is taking part with project Come And Be A Winner, a co-production with Luxembourg’s Deal Productions, which is a dark mystery comedy written by Síofra O’Meara.

His fellow Irish producers on the lab are Aoibhin Murphy (Failsafe Film), John Norton (Red Ted Media), Nathalie Lichenthaler (Wide Eye Films), Adam O’Keeffe (Wavewalker Films), Eloise Powell (The Talk House), Stephen Hall (Dark Day Pictures), Darach Ó Tuairisg (Fibín Films) and Lorraine Higgins (Rye Films).

Griffin was a co-producer on Sundance 2026 world premieres The Incomer and Extra Geography, as well working on Richard Gadd’s series Half Man. She is taking part with In The Kingdom Of The Isles, a drama inspired by the real life story of Syrian refugees resettled in the Outer Hebrides, written by Kefi Chadwick. Joining Griffin from Scotland are Ryan Hendrick (Wild Solstice), Ken Anderson (TG Entertainment), Fraser Coull (Silly Wee Films) and Ciaran Lyons (Forest of Black).

Canadian producers in the lab are Mary Sexton and Caroline Godin (Rink Rat Productions), Mark O’Neill (Panoramic Pictures), Christian, Sparkes (Southcott Pictures Inc.), Mary Walsh (Torbay Ponies), Ruth Lawrence (Blue Pinion Films), Emily, Bridger (Road de Luxe Productions Inc.), Mary Lewis (From Here Productions Inc.) and Wanda Taylor (First Day Films).

Participants also receive supported attendance at the Galway Film Fleadh and a bursary to attend the Toronto International Film Festival.

The Limerick Film Lab is run by Film in Limerick, the film office for the mid-west of Ireland, with additional support from Screen Scotland and Canadian province Newfoundland and Labrador’s film agency Picture NL.
