‘Our Planet, The People, My Blood’

EXCLUSIVE: Jambika Docs has acquired worldwide sales rights to nuclear weapons testing documentary Our Planet, The People, My Blood.

The film will receive a UK-Ireland theatrical release in April through Jambika.

Written, directed and produced by UK filmmaker Daniel Everitt-Lock, the film follows Alan Owen, who has fought for the rights of those affected by nuclear weapons testing around the world. It shows how Owen, the son of a soldier affected by atomic testing in service, launches a legal battle against the UK’s ministry of defence.

Asis Sethi produces the film with Everitt-Lock, for Canada’s True Perspective. The film recently played for UK members of parliament in a private screening.

“The subject of nuclear weapons testing has been documented before, but the lasting effects on the people directly and indirectly involved have been kept far from the public eye for too long,” said Everitt-Lock. “With global tensions rising and nuclear rhetoric re-emerging, it is more important than ever to understand what is truly at stake.”

“This film reminds us that nuclear testing is not an abstract chapter of history,” said Juan Solera, head of sales and acquisitions at Jambika Docs. “It has affected millions of people across generations, and its unresolved legacy continues to shape global justice and world peace today.”
