Werc Werk Works, fresh from the world premiere in Sundance of Howl, have cast Greg Kinnear, Alan Arkin and Billy Crudup (pictured) to star in The Convincer.

A 30-day shoot on the Midwestern crime drama is set to begin around Twin Cities, Minnesota, on February 8, on the story of a desperate insurance salesman who devises a plot to obtain a rare violin.

Jill Sprecher will direct from a screenplay she co-wrote with Karen Sprecher. Mary Frances Budig, Werc Werk Works president Christine Walker and CEO Elizabeth Redleaf are producing.

Jill Sprecher’s previous credits include Thirteen Conversations About One Thing and Clockwatchers, which were both co-written by Karen Sprecher.

Howl will screen in official selection in Berlin.
