Universal Pictures has revealed that the title of its untitled event tentpole from Steven Spielberg is Disclosure Day, the UFO sci-fi starring Emily Blunt that will open on June 12, 2026.
The studio released a trailer that shows Blunt and Josh O’Connor experiencing a truth that is being revealed across the world while animals behave strangely and other peculiarities. The cast includes Eve Hewson Colman Domingo.
David Koepp, who collaborated with Spielberg on Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, War Of The Worlds and Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, wrote the screenplay.
Kristie Macosko Krieger and Spielberg produced for Amblin Entertainment, and the executive producers are Adam Somner and Chris Brigham.
Spielberg’s sci-fi films include classics Close Encounters Of The Third Kind and E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, as well as War Of The Worlds, Minority Report, and A.I. Artificial Intelligence.
