‘Zodiac Killer Project’

Exclusive: UK filmmaker Charlie Shackleton’s documentary Zodiac Killer Project has been picked for UK and Ireland distribution by London-based production outfit Loop.

The film, which won the Sundance Next Innovator award earlier this year, will be released in cinemas on November 28 with the director embarking on a two-week Q&A tour across the UK.

Zodiac Killer Project follows Shackleton’s failed attempt to make a documentary about the infamous Zodiac killer, instead offering a critique on the true crime genre as well as self-aware commentary on creative frustration. Shackleton produced the film with Catherine Bray and Anthony Ing for Loop.

After premiering at Sundance, the feature had further festival showcases at SXSW, Karlovy Vary and Edinburgh. Cinetic Media handles international sales.
