Thomas Robsahm

Norway’s Thomas Robsahm, Joachim Trier’s producer on The Worst Person in the World, Thelma and Louder Than Bombs, has joined Nordisk Film Production as producer.

He leaves the two production outfits which are his current homes, Motlys (since 2013) and Oslo Pictures (since 2018).

Robsahm is also a director, most recently of the music documentary a-ha: The Movie, which premiered at Tribeca 2021. He has more than 50 film credits as a producer, including Margreath Olin’s The Angels, Emil Trier’s Trust Me and Maria Sodahl’s Hope.

The Worst Person in the World, for which Renate Reinsve won best actress in Cannes 2021, is shortlisted for the best international film Oscar.

“After having spent eight good years with Motlys and Oslo Pictures, I am looking forward to continuing working with quality films and unique talents in the largest film family in the Nordics. I like the fact, that Nordisk Film has a bold and ambitious mindset,” Robsahm said.

Nordisk Film Production, a division of Nordic entertainment giant Nordisk Film, has operations in all Scandinavian countries. In Norway, the company’s credits include Kon-Tiki, The 12th Man, The Tunnel and the forthcoming war epic Narvik directed by Erik Skjoldbjærg.
