The UK training body ScreenSkills has appointed Working Title’s Sarah-Jane Wright as council chair for its Film Skills Fund.

Wright is currently head of film and TV production at Working Title and has already sat on the council for two years. She takes over the role of chair from Anita Overland, who led the fund for four years.

“I am proud to be stepping up as Chair during what has been a record year of investment into the fund,” said Wright. “I am excited to work with my fellow council members to invest these generous contributions back into the areas of our industry where their impact will be felt most keenly.”

Tori Perry, head of production at Film4, has been selected as deputy chair.

The Film Skills Fund supports skills and training for the UK film industry and has invested more than £22m since it was established in 1999.
