Former head of BBC documentary programming Alex Holmes has signed to directed Bold Films’ thriller Into Hell, which Affinity International is selling here.

Holmes directed several episodes of BBC and HBO Films’ miniseries House Of Saddam (pictured) and the BBC documentary Dunkirk.

Meanwhile, Nicolas Winding Refn is preparing to start principal photography on the Ryan Gosling thriller Drive in August in Los Angeles.

Refn and producers Marc Platt, Adam Siegel and Gigi Pritzker are out to female leads and Gosling and Refn have been driving around Downtown Los Angeles at night scouting for suitable car chase locations.

Drive is an OddLot Entertainment and Bold co-production and is being sold through their joint sales entity Affinity International by Brian O’Shea and his team.
