UK sales outfit Intandem Films is to handle sales on Dreams of a Dying Heart, the film that reunites two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank (pictured) with her Boys Don’t Cry producers Killer Films.

Intandem will co-produce with Killer Films, and Los Angeles based Laureate Films (Stepford Wives).

Swank will play the lead role of Rachel Watson, a soldier who returns home to her family after a tour of duty, only to witness strange happenings. The script is written by Shawn Lawrence Otto who also wrote Oscar-nominated House Of Sand And Fog. He will also direct.

“When I first read the screenplay for Dreams Of A Dying Heart I was on an airplane and I couldn’t put it down. By the end I was weeping and I had to turn my head away toward the window.  The same thing happened to me with Million Dollar Baby. Do you know how rare that is? This is a special, special movie,” Swank commented.

Shawn Lawrence Otto added: “We’re going to use mind-blowing visuals to tell a unique story of women and combat – which is a perfect fit with Hilary’s very special talent for toughness and vulnerability. A lot of directors focus on the beauty in violence, but there is also an element of violence in beauty. Dreams of a Dying Heart explores both.”
