Stana Katic and Odette Yustman have joined Richard Gere, Topher Grace, and Stephen Moyer in writer Michael Brandt’s directorial debut project The Double.

Ashok Amritraj’s Hyde Park Entertainment Group and Imagenation Abu Dhabi are producing the spy thriller based on an original script from Brandt and his Wanted and 3:10 To Yuma writing partner Derek Haas.

Amritraj and Hyde Park Executive vice-president of production Patrick Aiello will produce along with Haas and Industry Entertainment’s Andrew Deane.  Imagenation Abu Dhabi Chairman Mohamed Khalaf Al-Mazrouei and CEO Edward Borgerding will serve as executive producers.

Aiello brought the project to Hyde Park and will shepherd production, which is scheduled to begin in Detroit on June 21.

The Doubleinvolves a returned CIA agent who returns to the fray and partners with a young FBI agent to hunt a Soviet assassin who was believed to be dead.

Katic recently wrapped production on the Polish Brothers’ upcoming film For Lovers Only and her credits include The Spirit and Quantum Of Solace. Yustman stars opposite Kristen Bell in Disney’s upcoming comedy You Again and previously appeared in Cloverfield and TheUnborn.

Hyde Park International’s Mimi Steinbauer introduced the project to buyers at Berlin last February.
