Jonathan LaPaglia and Luke Hemsworth have joined the cast of The Reckoning, which is set to begin shooting on Apr 29 in Australia. Lightning Entertainment will handle international sales.

John V Soto will direct the found footage thriller about a detective on the hunt for a killer.

Deidre Kitcher is producing the Filmscope Entertainment production co-financed by ScreenWest, Fulcrum and private investors and described The Reckoning as Memento meets Kalifornia.

Robert Lundberg, Greg Coote, David Calvert-Jones, Roger Savill and Kim Savill will serve as executive producers.  

Lightning president Robert Beaumont made the announcement on Monday [25].
