Hank Azaria, Bobby Cannavale, Chris Noth and Robert Patrick have joined Amanda Seyfried (pictured) and Peter Sarsgaard as production on the Millennium Films production got underway in Los Angeles today (20).

Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman, who previously co-directed Howl, are directing from an original screenplay by Andy Bellin.

Heidi Jo Markel is producing for Electric Pictures, Laura Rister and Jason Weinberg for Untitled Entertainment and Jim Young for Animus Films. Boaz Davidson, Danny Dimbort, Mark Gill, W Merritt Johnson, Avi Lerner, Trevor Short and John Thompson serve as executive producers for Nu Image/Millennium Films.

The film is being made with the cooperation of the estate of Linda Lovelace and charts her rise to become arguably the first porn star of world renown.

Azaria will play Jerry Damiano, who directed Lovelace in the infamous film Deep Throat. Cannavale and Chris Noth will play that film’s financiers Butchie Peraino and Anthony Romano and Patrick will portray Linda’s father, John.

The new arrivals join recently announced cast members Wes Bentley, Sharon Stone and Juno Temple.
