Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt will make cameos in Don Gallacher’s comedy Deeper N Down, about a Status Quo tribute band.

London-based Gallacher has a collaboration agreement in place with Rossi and Parfitt, whose latest album Quid Pro Quo went straight into the U.K. top 10 charts this week.

The film about a 40-something former guitar tech/roadie, who is forced to face up to his parenting responsibilities will shoot on location in the U.K. and Eastern Europe.

Gallacher, who will produce for his company Golden Bay Productions, is now in talks with potential directors.
