Worldwide sales agent Vision Films announced on Monday [Jun 3] it had struck a deal with Montreal-based Archeos Entertainment to finance development and production on a slate of Canadian films from XII Tribes Entertainment.

The partners plan a roster of titles budgeted in the $3-15m range to be produced in Alberta, Canada.

Vision Films MD and CEO of worldwide distribution Lise Romanoff brokered the deal on the Croisette in Cannes last month with XII Tribes executive chairman Michel Zgarka and COO Ysé Brisson.

“Vision Films is thrilled to be cementing our relationship with XII Tribes,” said Romanoff. “XII Tribes’ expertise in production in combination with Vision Films’ expertise in worldwide distribution will allow for us to produce content in Canada that has great global appeal.”
