On Monday night (February 19), the UK celebrated a bumper year of UK films, co-productions and talent in selection at the Berlinale.

Hosted at the British Embassy in Berlin by the BFI, British Council, the British Film Commission and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), the event welcomed international industry, a cohort of this year’s Berlinale Talents and the UK filmmaking teams and talent behind works in official selection.
Agnieszka Moody, head of international relations at the BFI, Adrian Wootton OBE, chief executive of the British Film Commission and Briony Hanson, director of film at the British Council, welcomed guests as remarks were given by Andrew Mitchell CMG, British ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany.
Filmmakers behind BFI-backed Lady, BFI Doc Society Fund-supported Riding Time and UK Global Screen Fund supported The Education of Jane Cumming, Dust and A Prayer for the Dying were in attendance.
