Morris Ruskin’s Shoreline Entertainment has acquired the worldwide sales rights to Sebastian Silva’sdrama The Maid ahead of its world premiere at Sundance on Jan 17.

The film chronicles the life of an introverted maid pushed to the edge as the family she works for hires another housekeeper. Catalina Saavedra, Claudia Celedon and Alejandro Goic are among the key cast.

Shoreline’s director of acquisitions Brandon Paine, acquisitions associate Timothy Tahir and director of worldwide distribution Sam Eigen negotiated the deal with The Maid’s executive producer Gregorio Gonzalez.

Shoreline also represents worldwide rights to Nahid Persson Sarvestani’s Sundance entry The Queen And I.
