EXCLUSIVE: eOne, Ascot Elite buy Samuel L Jackson action-adventure, directed by Jalmari Helander.
Altitude has closed deals on Jalmari Helander’s English-language debut Big Game with eOne for UK and Ascot Elite for all German speaking territories.
Samuel L Jackson is set to star in the action-adventure about a teenager who helps rescue the US president when Air Force One is shot down near his campsite. The film is co-produced with Subzero Film Entertainment.
Production is set to commence in late summer 2013 in Finland and Germany.
Helander’s Rare Exports follow-up is produced by Petri Jokiranta under his Subzero banner, with Alex Garland serving as executive producer.
Will Clarke and Andy Mayson will co-produce for Altitude Film Entertainment along with Jens Meurer of Egoli Tossell Film as the German co-producer.
Will Clarke, CEO and chairman of Altitude said: “Big Game will be our third film to go into production and to be closing deals on key territories on its first presentation to buyers is exactly what we set to achieve for the film, the filmmakers and Altitude.”
