EXCLUSIVE: German sales outfit M-Appeal has closed some eyecatching details on its new Cannes slate.

Two Mothers [pictured] by Anne Zohra Berrached has been sold to TLA Releasing for UK, France, Benelux and Poland.

Distributor Salzgeber is planning a 24 city German release in June.

The film explores the plight of Katja and Isabella, a happily married lesbian couple, after they decide to have a child.

TLA Releasing has also picked up another of M-Appeal’s titles, gay drama Land of Storms by Hungarian director Ádám Császi. TLA has taken North America, UK, France and Poland on the film. 

Young Berlin-based M-Appeal specialises in American and Latin American, European, queer and genre fare.
