The Naomi Watts-Robin Wright Sundance drama will get a day-and-date release; marks Exclusive Releasing’s first acquisition.

Exclusive Media’s newly launched Exclusive Releasing label has acquired US, UK and CIS rights for Anne Fontaine’s Two Mothers.

The Naomi Watts-Robin Wright feature, which premiered in Sundance, will get a day-and-date release.

The story, adapted from Doris Lessing’s novel by Christopher Hampton, revolves around the passionate affairs of two lifelong friends who fall in love with one another’s sons.

The sale marks the first acquisition for Exclusive Releasing, headed by Scott Pascucci and Matt Brodlie. The company was launched in September at the Toronto Film Festival.

The deal was negotiated by Exclusive head of acquisitions Brodlie, head of Gaumont International Cecile Gaget and CAA.
