Dax Shepard wrote and is directing the comedy about a getaway driver living in California under an assumed identity who is chased by police and his former gang as he drives his girlfriend to LA for her dream job.

Shepard stars alongside Bradley Cooper, Kristen Bell, Tom Arnold and Beau Bridges. David Palmer co-directs and Andrew Panay, Nate Tuck and Kim Waltrip and Jim Casey are producing.

Outrun is in post and Exclusive Films International president Alex Walton will commence pre-sales at the market next week. The producers are retaining US and Canadian rights.

Exclusive Media Group’s head of production Tobin Armbrust acquired the film and brokered the deal with Lichter, Grossman, Nichols, Adler & Feldman, Inc.

“We congratulate Dax and Andrew on this exciting project,” Walton said. “They have brought us something very fresh and uplifting, with a knock-out cast. We are excited to share this with our distributors at AFM and bring to audiences worldwide in 2012.”
