Paramount has set an October 22 release for its Paranormal Activity sequel.
The studio boarded North American distribution rights to Oren Peli’s low-budget smash, which cost roughly $15,000 to make and grossed more than $107m in North America following its release last September.
Katie Featherston and Micah Sloat starred in the tale of a haunted house.
IM Global handled foreign sales and is working with Peli on his follow-up, Area 51.
Tom Tykwer’s German thriller was a breakout for the director and his star star Franka Potente.
“Our real value add now is in terms of international sales,” revealed Oli Harbottle of Dogwoof.
Reference funding from the German Federal Film Board is based on a film’s box office, festival and awards performance.
