Annick Mahnert has joined the company as manager of international sales and acquisitions in the run-up to Cannes. Additionally the Toronto-based company has licensed US rights to The Last Will And Testament Of Rosalind Leigh to Image Entertainment.

Annick studied film production at the New York Film Academy and worked as a production assistant at Roger Corman’s Concorde-New Horizons.

She worked at 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros and in 2007 became the sales manager for Frenetic Films in Zurich, dealing with StudioCanal, EuropaCorp and Wild Bunch, among others. Annick later joined Celluloid Dreams at the Paris office handling sales and acquisitions.

“We are thrilled, and feel very fortunate that out of all of the options Annick had before her, she chose to come and join us at Raven Banner” said James Fler, one of Raven Banner’s founding partners.

“I grew up in Switzerland watching horror films,” said Mahnert. “It was my first contact with cinema. When Raven Banner asked me to join them after this year’s EFM, I knew this was an opportunity I couldn’t miss.”

The Last Will And Testament Of Rosalind Leigh stars Vanessa Redgrave and Aaron Poole in the horror story about a man who uncovers his mother’s chilling legacy. Rodrigo Gudiño wrote and directed and Marco Pecota produced for Rue Morgue Cinemas with the participation of Telefilm Canada.

Image chief acquisitions officer Bill Bromiley, Mark Ward and Jess De Leo negotiated the deal with Raven Banner managing partners Michael Paszi and Fler.

“Image Entertainment has proven time and again to be an ideal distributor for cool genre films, and we’re very proud and honoured that they will be distributing Rodrigo’s film and promoting the Rue Morgue and Raven Banner brands,” said Paszt.
