A busy AFM saw Exclusive Films International close a slew of deals on the upcoming F1 drama that Ron Howard will direct starring Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Brühl. Peter Morgan wrote the screenplay.

Sales have closed in the UK (StudioCanal), Germany (Universum/RTL), Australia and New Zealand (eOne), Spain (Aurum), Scandinavia (Mis.Label), Canada (Alliance Films) and Benelux (Independent).

Rights also went for Latin America (California Filmes), Switzerland (Ascot Elite), South Africa (NuMetro), South Korea (Noori Pictures), Portugal (Lusomundo), Hong Kong (Golden Scene), Greece (Audiovisual), Iceland (Sam Film), Turkey (Tanweer Film), Bulgaria (Tandem) and Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia (Blitz).

Further deals closed in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic (AQS), Hungary and Romania (Media Pro), Poland (ITI), the Middle East (Front Row), Israel (United King), India and Pakistan (Apsara/Reliance), Indonesia (PT Amero), Malaysia and Thailand (Media Films), Singapore (Cathay Keris Films), South East Asian TV (Star TV) and Taiwan (Blockbuster).

Production in the UK and Germany is set to begin in February 2012 and Universal Pictures will release in the US later in the year.

Exclusive Media Group is co-financing and co-producing with Cross Creek Pictures. Howard, Brian Oliver, Brian Grazer, Eric Fellner, Peter Morgan and Andrew Eaton are producers while Exclusive Media Group co-chairmen Nigel Sinclair and Guy East will serve as executive producers with head of production Tobin Armbrust and Imagine’s Todd Hallowell.
