Universal Pictures announced on Wednesday (18) that it had moved Untitled Next Bourne Chapter from its August 14 2015 slot.
The action film starring Jeremy Renner is now scheduled to open on July 15 2016.
Justin Lin will direct the fifth instalment inspired by the books of Robert Ludlum. Renner reunites with producer Frank Marshall, who is producing alongside Jeffrey Weiner and Ben Smith for Captivate Entertainment.
Lin will also produce for his Perfect Storm Entertainment.
Universal has moved the NWA biopic Straight Outta Compton into the August 14 2015 slot.
O’Shea Jackson Jr, Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell will portray Ice Cube, Dr Dre and Eazy-E. F Gary Gray directs and Cube and Dre produce with Matt Alvarez and Tomica Woods-Wright. Will Packer serves as executive producer alongside Gray.
- Lionsgate and Pantelion Films will release Spare Parts starring George Lopez, Marisa Tomei, Jamie Lee Curtis and Carlos Pena on January 16, 2015.
