Lullaby to my Father, produced by Israel’s Agav Films and Switzerland’s Elefant Films, is a homage to Gitai’s father, Polish-born architect Munio Weinraub, tracing his journey from Germany to Palestine where he fled after being imprisoned by the Nazis during World War Two.

Wide House head Anais Clanet told Screen the company is “honoured to start a collaboration with a great director like Amos Gitai”.

Carmel is Gitai’s 2009 impressionistic ode to the director’s mother.

During Venice, Wide House has also closed a deal for hybrid documentary Approved for Adoption with Japanese distributor Tollywood Inc, which will release the Annecy entry theatrically in December 2012.
