Magic Stone Productions and Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment announced on Tuesday [Jun 4] they will produce the feature Girlfriend’s Day.

Michael Paul Stephenson will make his feature directorial debut from a screenplay by Bob Odenkirk [pictured], who produces alongside Marc Provissiero and Magic Stone principals Stephenson and his wife Lindsay Stephenson.

Girlfriend’s Day centres on a star greeting card write who becomes embroiled in murder. Odenkirk will star and the producers have earmarked an autumn start in Los Angeles.

Odenkirk’s acting credits include Breaking Bad, Alexander Payne’s recent Cannes premiere Nebraska and Sundance entries The Spectacular Now and Ass Backwards.
