Nicolas Bary is preparing his next feature The Scapegoat starring Bérénice Bejo, while Theo Angelopoulos will commence shooting this month in Athens on The Other Sea.

In February, Nicolas Bary will commence principal photography on The Scapegoat, an adaptation of French writer Daniel Pennac’s classic novel of the same title. Bérénice Bejo, Emir Kusturica and Raphael Personnaz are confirmed to star. The film revolves around the chaotic Malaussène clan living in Paris’ bohemian Belleville neighbourhood, and is a co-production between Pathé, Chapter 2, Nexus Factory, and Bidibul Productions. Pathé has also acquired international sales rights and will distribute the family feature in France. Shooting will take place for 11 weeks in Paris and Luxembourg.

Toni Servillo has taken on the lead role in Theo Angelopoulos’ The Other Sea, which will tell the story of a father daughter relationship during the current Greek turmoil. The-six week shoot will start on Dec 26 in Athens and Amadeo Pagani is producing for Italian production company Classic.
