The film is being sold by newly formed company Ealing Metro, which combines the sales teams of Prescience and Ealing Studios.

The Wings Of The Dove director Iain Softley has begun shooting psychological thriller Trap For Cinderella, which stars rising Brit actors Tuppence Middleton and Alexandra Roach alongside Kerry Fox and Frances De La Tour.

Softley has also written the script for the film, which is an adaptation of the novel by Sebastien Japrisot. The story takes place in a beach house on the French Riviera which is gutted by fire. Trapped inside are two young women, one of whom survives, one doesn’t.

Shooting will take place for six weeks in London and the south of France. Robert Jones and Dixie Linder are producing.

Financed by Prescience, the BFI (in its new role as funder) and LipSync, the film is being sold by Ealing Metro, the newly formed company which merges the sales arms of Ealing Studios and Prescience.
