Agency behind Guiding Lights wins contract to run BFI shorts scheme.

Lighthouse, the Brighton-based digital agency behind filmmaker mentoring programme Guiding Lights, has been selected as the management company for Film Fund Shorts 2012, the BFI’s new one-year shorts scheme.

Lighthouse’s Emily Kyriakides [pictured] will work in partnership with Neon Films’ Nicky Bentham and Becca Ellson in managing the scheme and overseeing the selection.

The team will commission up to 20 films with budgets ranging from £25,000 to £50,000. The films are due to to be delivered at the end of 2012.

The BFI received 25 applications to manage the scheme.
