The film has been co-written by Noel Clarke, who will also star alongside rising British actors Talulah Riley and Matthew McNulty.

US star Mena Suvari, who was BAFTA nominated for her role in the 1999 film American Beauty, has joined the cast of romantic comedy The Knot, which starts shooting in London today.

St Trinians actress Talulah Riley and Control actor Matthew McNulty play a couple whose wedding day looks set to be a disaster thanks to their hopeless bridesmaid (Suvari) and best man (Clarke). Jason Maza and Juliet Oldfied will also star in the film, which is being directed by first time feature film-maker Jesse Lawrence.

Clarke has co-written the script with Davie Fairbanks and Geoff Carino.

New Treatment and Unstoppable Entertainment are producing the film in association with beActive Entertainment. UK distribution will be handled by Exile Media Group.
