Christopher Plummer has joined the cast of Code Entertainment and The Solution Entertainment Group’s thriller The Forger. WME Global and ICM Partners represent US rights.

John Travolta and Tye Sheridan, who stars opposite Nicolas Cage in Toronto entry Joe, were previously announced.

Philip Martin is scheduled to begin the Boston shoot in October from a screenplay by Richard D’Ovidio.

The Forger centres on a petty thief who buys his way out of prison to spend time with his ailing son.

The criminal must team up with his father to carry out one last job for the syndicate that got him out of jail.

Plummer will play Joseph Cutter, the patriarch of the family that spans three generations in the film.

Code’s Al Corley, Bart Rosenblatt, and Eugene Musso will produce with Rob Carliner. Jonathan Dana and Randi Michel serve as executive producers alongside The Solution’s Myles Nestel and Lisa Wilson.
