Exclusive Media will be selling the Emile Zola adaptation in Cannes and LD Entertainment is on board as domestic distributor.

Therese stars Elizabeth Olsen alongside Tom Felton, Jessica Lange and Oscar Isaac. Shirley Henderson, John Kavanagh, Mackenzie Crook and Matt Lucas also feature.

Filming is taking place in Belgrade, Serbia, and Budapest, Hungary, on the nineteenth century Paris-set tragedy about a sexually repressed beauty trapped in a loveless marriage who embarks on an illicit affair.

Charlie Stratton adapted the screenplay and is directing. LD Distribution CEO Mickey Liddell produces with William Horberg of Wonderful Films. Michael Zelman and Richard Sharkey serve as executive producers.

Exclusive Media president of international sales and distribution Alex Walton will actively sell the title in Cannes.
