The star of imminent Venice world premiere Joe has joined John Travolta in the heist thriller. Code Entertainment and The Solution Entertainment Group are jointly producing and financing and The Solution will handle international sales in Toronto.

Philip Martin will direct the story and production is scheduled for an October start in Boston. WME Global and ICM Partners represent US rights.

Code’s Al Corley, Bart Rosenblatt and Eugene Musso will produce along with Prospect Park’s Rob Carliner. Jonathan Dana and Randi Michel serve as executive producer alongside The Solution’s Myles Nestel and Lisa Wilson.

Richard D’Ovidio wrote the story about a former child art prodigy and petty thief played by Travolta who is forced into one last job by the crime syndicate that bought him out of prison so he can spend time with his ailing son, played by Sheridan.

“Tye Sheridan is an actor of tremendous depth and truth who is blessed with the rare talent to inspire,” said Corley. “We are thrilled and fortunate to welcome him to The Forger family.”

“Tye Sheridan is a gifted young actor who showed his full acting range in this year’s Mud,” said Wilson and Nestel. “He is the perfect counterpart to star opposite John Travolta in the film and we can’t wait to see their chemistry on screen.”

Sheridan made his feature debut in Terrence Malick’s The Tree Of Life and starred opposite Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon in Mud. He will commence filming shortly on Dark Places opposite Charlize Theron. He is represented by Mosaic and WME.
