Toronto-based Cinemavault will be handling international sales here on two new titles, Conor McMahon’s Irish thriller The Disturbed and Robert Grant’s Canadian zombie film Yesterday.
The Disturbed tells of a demented couple in the woods who plan to torture their captive when they themselves fall victim to a dark presence.
This is the second partnership between Cinemavault and McMahon after his previous horror film Dead Meat, which sold in more than 30 territories.
Vice-president of acquisitions Michael Paszt negotiated the deal with McMahon and Paul Ward of Misty Productions.
Yesterday pits together six complete strangers who flee the city following a zombie outbreak. The film was an official selection at Fantastic Fest, the Fantasia Film Festival and Sci-Fi London. Paszt brokered the deal with producer Scott Mainwood of True Hype Productions.
