International sales and coproduction company Reel Suspects is racking up sales
Reel Suspects, the international sales and coproduction company founded by Matteo Lovadina earlier this year, has been racking up sales. The company has also added several new titles to its slate.
Anarchy In Zirmunai by Saulius Drunga has gone to France (Optimale) and the company is in advanced discussion on several other territories including UK while Laurent Bouhnik’s Q (already pre sold in South Korea to Green Narae Media) has gone to Israel (Shapira Films), Russia & CIS (Big Movies) and Japan (Medallion).
Meanwhile, Lovadina has confirmed some new pick-ups. Reel Suspects is to handle Happy In The Valley by Lee Madsen, starring William Forsythe, Shaun Sipos and Ursula Brooks. The film, screening in the Marché, is “a provocative dark comedy about a formerly famous music photographer now shooting erotic portraits and the group of misfits he drags down… and up with him.”
Also by Lee Madsen (and new on Reel Suspects’ slate) is Hate, starring Ellen Woglom, Matthew Hutchinson, Augustus Prew, Chris Riggi, Ryan Donowho, Elaine Hendrix.The adrama is about a young punk rock band in pursuit of fame and fortune.
Meanwhile, the company is handling international sales on Kanchi Wichmann’s east London set melodrama Break My Fall.
Also on Reel Suspects’ Cannes slate is cult erotic drama, Meat, from directors Maartje Seyferth & Victor Nieuwenhuijs, David Verbeek’s Club Zeus, Koen Mortier’s 22nd May and Santiago Sierra’s No, Global Tour.
