Amy pascal

US producer Amy Pascal has indicated the next James Bond film will shoot in the UK as she praised UK crews.

Pascal was attending the world premiere of Project Hail Mary in London last night (March 10), which she produced alongside star Ryan Gosling and Aditya Sood.

The film shot in the UK at  Shepperton Studios and various locations, including Portsmouth and Cambridge, in 2025.

“You guys have all the greatest craftspeople,” Pascal told Screen of the decision to film the sci-fi epic in the UK. “It was the perfect place to shoot it. Our whole crew was British.”

When asked whether she would return to the UK to film Bond 26, of which Amazon MGM Studios now has full creative control, Pascal said: “I shall be here”.

The producer declined to offer any further details and Screen has contacted Amazon for further comment.

Bond base

Twenty-three of the 25 James Bond films have been shot at London’s Pinewood Studios, which hosts the  Albert R. Broccoli 007 stage.

Amazon’s UK-based projects primarily shoot at Shepperton Studios and Bray Film Studios.

Pascal is producing Bond 26 alongside UK producer David Heyman, with Denis Villeneuve directing and Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight penning the screenplay.

Sandra Hüller’s next co-star?

Gosling stars in Project Hail Mary, directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, as a science teacher who is sent into space to save Earth from disaster. Amazon is releasing Project Hail Mary in North America, with Sony Pictures distributing internationally.

Sandra Hüller co-stars in the film as an UN-appointed leader of the mission. The German actor broke out internationally in 2023 with an Oscar-nominated performance in Anatomy Of A Fall.

“The visibility of that film helped people to see what I do,” Hüller told Screen. “People were more interested in me.”

Most recently, Hüller won the Berlinale’s Silver Bear award for best actress for her role in Markus Schleinzer’s black-and-white period drama Rose.

Hüller revealed her hopes to work with Norwegian actress Renate Reinsve, who recently told Screen it would be a “dream” to work with Hüller.

“Renate and I, we’re planning some stuff together,” Hüller teased.
