
One Battle After Another star Chase Infiniti and Sorry, Baby filmmaker and star Eva Victor are among 12 creatives from film, television and games announced on Tuesday as the 2025 Bafta Breakthrough US cohort.
Infiniti, who was one of the nominees in Monday’s Gothams breakthrough performer category, is cited by Bafta as an actor in the Apple series Presumed Innocent that starred Jake Gyllenhaal. She recently wrapped production on Hulu’s The Testaments, a follow-up to The Handmaid’s Tale, in which she will portray Gilead and lead a new generation of characters.
Victor was an original screenplay Gothams nominee and was one of the discoveries of Sundance this year with their feature directorial debut Sorry, Baby, which they wrote, directed and starred in. A24 acquired worldwide rights to the feature shortly after the world premiere in Park City.

The remaining 10 selections are, in alphabetical order: Brandon Wilson, actor – Nickel Boys (film); Brittany Shyne, director – Seeds (film, documentary); Erika Ishii, voice performer – Ghost Of Yotei (games); Frida Perez, writer-producer – The Studio (television); and Karla Reyes, creative director – Take Us North (games).
This year’s selection continues with: Mia Cioffi Henry, cinematographer – Sorry, Baby (film); Miles Caton, actor – Sinners (film); Min Ji (Maggie) Kang, writer-director – KPop Demon Hunters (film); Paige Bethmann, director – Remaining Native (film, documentary); and Xalavier Nelson Jr., studio head, Strange Scaffold – I Am Your Beast (games).
Participants were chosen by a jury covering film, television and games and are writers, directors, actors, craftspeople and entrepreneurs “in the midst of, or on the cusp of, their breakthrough moment”.
The year-long initiative, now in its sixth year, will involve the participants in one-on-one meetings and career guidance, full voting membership, access to Bafta events and screenings, and networking events in the UK and internationally.
