Conan O’Brien will return to host the Oscars for a third consecutive year, with the 99th Academy Awards ceremony set for March 14, 2027.
Returning for a fourth consecutive year as the event’s executive producers will be Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan. And back for their third stints will be producers Jeff Ross and Mike Sweeney. Sweeney will also serve as a writer.
ABC and Hulu will air the ceremony live for the penultimate time at 19:00 Eastern time (16:00 Pacific). The show is due to move to its new home on YouTube in 2029.
This year’s Oscars ceremony drew an audience of 17.9m on ABC and Hulu, the smallest audience the event has attracted in four years and a 9% year-on-year drop.
Commenting on the return of O’Brien and the producing team, Academy CEO Bill Kramer and president Lynette Howell Taylor said: “We are thrilled to be working again with Conan, Raj, Katy, Jeff and Mike for the 99th Oscars.
