Film Independent has announced eight selections for the 12th Annual Independent Directing Lab.

The film-makers and their projects are:

  • Nicholas Greene with A Death In The Andes;
  • Jacob Hatley with Carolina Highway Killer;
  • Krisy Gosney with Folsom Street;
  • Aldo Velasco with God Love Stu;
  • Amber Sealey with New Mexican Rain;
  • Daniel Casey with Straight Edge;
  • Morna Ciraki with Sunday Billy Sunday;
  • Alex Moratto with Untitled Amazon Project.

The Lab started on Feb 4 and runs through mid-April.

The Spectacular Now director James Ponsoldt and True Blood writer Angela Robinson are among the mentors.
