JP Richards, Keri Moore

Lionsgate Motion Picture Group marketing heads JP Richards and Keri Moore are leaving the company and will not be immediately replaced, with the independent planning instead to “reapproach” its marketing activity.

Going forward, the heads of department in the company’s motion picture group – EVP of strategy and chief of staff Amanda Kozlowski, EVP of global creative advertising Jack Teed and EVP of worldwide publicity Nasim Cambron – will combine to lead global marketing campaigns under group chair Adam Fogelson, who will take on a more active role overseeing marketing.

Lionsgate’s upcoming theatrical slate includes franchise entries The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping and Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, Stephen King adaptation The Long Walk, The Strangers—Chapter 2, Good Fortune, just set for a Toronto festival world premiere, and Michael Jackson biopic Michael

News of Richards’ and Moore’s departures comes less than a week after Lionsgate named Erin Westerman to take over as president of its motion picture group from the departing Nathan Kahane.

Commenting on the marketing changes Fogelson said: “In looking at our slate ahead, we have decided to reapproach our marketing group to meet the needs of a rapidly changing market. As we redefine the way we explore our campaigns, JP Richards and Keri Moore will be transitioning from their roles at the studio. I’m deeply proud of both JP and Keri, who have grown with and alongside me in their careers. JP has always brought bold, forward-thinking ideas to the table, and he’s a consummate innovator; Keri has proven herself a brilliant full-picture marketing strategist and wizard with filmmakers and talent. Transitions are never easy, especially when they involve longtime friends and colleagues, but I am beyond grateful for their creativity, partnership, and immense talent, and they have my full love and support as they take the next step in their careers.”
