
EXCLUSIVE: Stoic has acquired worldwide sales rights to the horror feature Labyrinth that gets its US premiere at genre festival FilmQuest tonight (October 31). Stoic will commence sales at the AFM in November and has released the exclusive first-look image to Screen.
Ryuhei Kitamura, whose credits include The Midnight Meat Train and No One Lives, directed a cast featuring Mekhi Phifer, Chris Klein, Shane West, Tommy Flanagan, and Alexxis Lemire .
Labyrinth centres on a group of strangers who are brought together to be judged for their past transgressions in a facility where they must run a gauntlet of deadly challenges.
Stoic president Nat McCormick said: “We are thrilled to be launching Labyrinth. This is exactly the kind of elevated genre film that buyers are aggressively seeking right now – a wild high-concept, rollercoaster that delivers from start to finish.”
Stoic’s slate includes Rachel Lambert’s romance Carousel starring Chris Pine and Jenny Slate; James McTeigue’s thriller The Midnight Pool with Aaron Paul; and Justin Steele’s action title Miami Nights featuring Terrence Howard, Jeremy Piven, and Jeremy Sumpter.
