EXCLUSIVE: Impact specialist Think-Film Impact Production has partnered with Netherlands production company Scenery, to develop and produce documentary titles with integrated impact campaigns.
First titles under the partnership include Mission Humanity, which will explore the state of humanitarian aid in the shifting global landscape; the film includes United Nations access.
Also in the partnership is docu-series Waste Junkies, examining the causes behind the global waste crisis. Production is underway on both titles, which are seeking partners to help reach international audiences.
The Think-Film and Scenery partnership aims to expand both companies’ portfolios with socially-driven content that creates real-world impact. It was created with the support of Tamar Guttmann, Think-Film board member for partnerships & engagement.
“Scenery’s structured equity model, meaningful stories, and close talent relationships have firmly positioned them as leaders in global documentary-making,” said Danielle Turkov, Think-Film founder and CEO. “By collaborating to produce journalistic, narrative-driven, high-end documentaries, we see a unique opportunity to further our shared mission for social justice, amplifying both audience impact and commercial potential.”
“Partnering with Think-Film allows us to make great strides in strengthening the impact of the stories we want to tell,” said a statement from Scenery partners Isidoor Roebers and Lea Fels. “Their impressive track record shows how powerful storytelling can resonate over time and lead to real, lasting change. In that sense, with shared values, we truly are a perfect match, and we’re already looking forward to the many meaningful projects we’ll create together.”
Think-Film has run impact campaigns for award-winning titles including Navalny, Black Box Diaries and The Territory, generating over €10m in global social economic value through its campaigns and strategic positioning.
Amsterdam-based Scenery, a joint venture with Banijay Benelux, has made titles including exiled Ukrainian ballet dancers documentary Front Row executive produced by Sarah Jessica Parker, and LARA: The Man Who Took On Escobar, about political activist Jorge Lara’s return to Colombia after years in exile.
