EXCLUSIVE: Picturehouse Cinemas is hosting the second edition of its annual industry event, Picturehouse Create, from April 15-18, 2026.
Jon Barrenechea will lead the programme in his new role as festival producer.
Barrenchea was previously vice president of global distribution at Mubi and has held several roles at Picturehouse Cinemas. He also produced the first three editions of Sundance Film Festival: London.
Picturehouse Create will consist of three days of screenings, panels, workshops and networking events held at London’s Picturehouse Central, with additional activities taking place across the UK. The event also hosts a short film competition.
This year’s inaugural edition included talks from actor/filmmaker Harris Dickinson, costume designer Sandy Powell and cinematographer Robbie Ryan.
