Jackson’s WingNut Films announced on Sunday (Dec 4) that West Of Memphis is complete.

Jackson and partner Fran Walsh revived the case of Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley Jr, the so-called West Memphis Three wrongly accused of the murder in Arkansas of three eight-year-old boys.

The filmmakers provided funds for a fresh investigation that exonerated the defendants, who have each served more than 18 years for their alleged part in the crime.

Echols and his wife Lorri Davis produced West Of Memphis and Amy Berg wrote and directed. Ken Kamins served as executive producer and represents sales.

Joe Berlinger recently directed Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory, about the same subject.
